To catch the last rays of late-summer sun, Zuza packed a suitcase with the latest Le Petit Trou collection and took off for Nice. The occasion was special - a surprise birthday trip for her closest friend. The plan? An easy rhythm, the sea, art, and long dinners in good company.

Our base was Hotel Amour, a place with a true Parisian soul just steps from the beach, where pink marble and mid-century design set the perfect mood. After petit-déjeuner, Zuza and her friends headed down to the beach to read, swim, and share endless laughs.

Afternoons were all about inspiration. Zuza paid another visit to the Matisse Museum to see a special exhibition. Matisse in Nice explores the deep artistic connection and creative dialogue between painter Henri Matisse and fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. For her museum visit, Zuza paired our signature brown Jacob shorts with the rust-toned Dorian shirt.

For afternoon coffee and casual strolls, the airy Lou dress in a delicate floral print was an easy choice, while our classic overalls were also along for the ride throughout the trip. As the evenings cooled down, the debut "paper-like" Boniface coat in a warm caramel shade was thrown over the shoulders.

Nice is that sweet spot between mid-century style and effortless ease - with a suitcase full of pieces that transition seamlessly from ocean dips to art galleries.
